A Resource for Legislative Action for California's Congressional District 2
This website is intended to serve as a resource to lobby for justice for the Palestinian people and a just peace. Congressional District 2, which starts in the south from the county of Marin and then all along the Northern Coast of California. It is currently represented in Congress by Congressmember Jared Huffman. Together we will lobby Congressman Huffman to promote the human rights and freedom of the Palestinian people by urging support for legislation consistant with that call, and together raise our voices in opposition to legislation and other congressional actions detrimental to a livable future for the people of Palestine.
This website will examine closely the positions taken by Congressman Huffman, his position on relevant legislation, his votes, his words, and all congressional actions-for good or ill. We have already had some victories in our work, we need to continue to push hard and never let up. We will take positions on legislative action; however, this website will NOT promote or oppose the candidacy of Congressman Huffman. That’s up to you.
Why Palestine?
Remember the solidarity shown to Palestine here and everywhere… and remember also that there is a cause to which many people have committed themselves, difficulties and terrible obstacles notwithstanding. Why? Because it is a just cause, a noble ideal, a moral quest for equality and human rights.
