This is a look back and a preview of coming attractions!
The month after Congressman Huffman’s shameful vote for the continuation of Israel’s genocide in April 2024, Huffman held his annual “Hootenanny” musical fundraiser. Business as usual. Outside the fundraiser (and inside, with several people voicing their protests interrupting the proceedings) at the Lagunitas Brewery in Petaluma it was anything but routine, with about 100 protesters chanting slogans calling for Palestinian freedom and demanding an end to arming Israel during genocide. Organized by several organizations like Marin DSA, RootsAction, Sonoma County for Palestine, and others. This was perhaps the first time this annual fundraiser has been protested by those on the Left, but it is not likely to be the last. Until Congressman Huffman’s dogmatic (almost religiously fanatical, ironic as this is for our “humanist” representative) devotion to funding Israel’s war crimes comes to an end, we hope these protests are repeated as necessary.

There will be another protest as Huffman again holds a fundraiser as he STILL chooses to sponsor Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza’s children and all living things that again has ignited with genocidal fury. Huffman never learns. Plan to be there, plan to be a friend.
