Welcome to the new 2025 version of Marin for Palestine. We hope that it will serve as a resource for activists, and for everyone, to understand how we can lobby local politicians (mostly our federal representatives, like Rep. Huffman), to support peace in Palestine based on justice. We will report on how Rep. Huffman is voting on these issues, as well as report on his public statements. We will sometimes also report on our U.S. Senators, and local efforts (in city councils, for example).

We demand that Congressman Huffman support international law. His record so far on that is tragically very poor. Throughout Israel’s genocidal onslaught on the people in Gaza that began in October 2023, Huffman never wavered in choosing to financially support the Israeli military with our tax dollars, despite Huffman himself acknowledging that it was committing war crimes. Despite dire reports of human rights organizations making a solid case that the Israeli government is guilty of war crimes, genocide, and practicing apartheid.

The sad truth is that our local representative in the House of Representatives is directly complicit in crimes against humanity. This is unacceptable. This must change. The first step for Congressman Huffman is to end any further military aid to Israel.

Why Palestine?
Remember the solidarity shown to Palestine here and everywhere… and remember also that there is a cause to which many people have committed themselves, difficulties and terrible obstacles notwithstanding. Why? Because it is a just cause, a noble ideal, a moral quest for equality and human rights.
